Sara has been photographing food, interiors and still life for over ten years now. After receiving her BFA from the University of Georgia, and trying her hand at the career to which that prepared her (service industry), she moved to New York and pursued the alternative to graduate school: assisting. For nearly four years, she had the opportunity to work with some extremely successful and talented food and still life photographers. Her fine arts education and real world training have enabled her to develop a unique visual perspective, as her medium has evolved from medium-format transparency to digital capture.

In 1999, she returned to her hometown of New Orleans, and has been shooting for a large variety of editorial and commercial clients ever since, expanding her portfolio to include interiors and architecture, and more recently, lifestyle and people.

Her love of food, architecture and design continues to drive her passion for photography, and she has been fortunate to travel for many assignments, from LA to France to Morocco.

Her studio in New Orleans currently operates out of the iconic Icehouse in Mid City, as part of the Building Block.

She resides in the Lower Garden District with her husband and two cats.

Outside of photography, she enjoys cooking, eating, travel, making things, and playing music.
